A Note About The Funding Of My Campaign For Mayor Of Los Banos

Because I feel so strongly about my own positions on the issues our city faces, I will not be taking money from citizens or other interested parties to fund my campaign for mayor of Los Banos. It is a two year term, and anyone whose campaign accepts money from any special interest group should be scrutinized, if for nothing more than the appearance of the potential for undue influence from that indebtedness.

Don't expect lots of advertising from me. My last campaign was run on my own dime and a lot of sweat equity from friends who helped me post the signs I have and walk precincts with me to talk to constituents. But I know that signs don't vote, the lots where they are placed don't vote. Voters vote, and sound principles by which voters operate their own personal budgets should be enough to convince the public to take care in choosing a candidate for mayor who is watching out for their interests.
